Based on Sir Terry Pratchett’s beloved fantasy series, Adventures in Ankh-Morpork is the officially licensed Discworld tabletop roleplaying game. Set in the series’ most enthusiastically self-interested city, Adventures in Ankh-Morpork invites you to tell stories where heroism, bureaucracy, and improbable coincidence collide with remarkable regularity.
This starter set contains everything* you need to set off on an epic adventure fraught with mild peril, interesting characters, and more bread than you can shake a scone at. You might even learn a thing or two along the way.**
The Discworld – Adventures in Ankh Morpork – Starter Set features:
- A 36-page Rules Booklet that aims to introduce you to the wonderful world created by Terry Pratchett and explains the fast, flexible, and occasionally optional rules of the Narrativium system, designed specifically for life on the Disc.
- A 44-page Adventure Booklet that, unsurprisingly, presents an introductory adventure — All That Is Gold Is Not Butter — featuring a call to action, lots of places to go, and plenty of familiar faces for those who know Discworld to go ‘Oooooh, ooooh, oooh! I know that guy!’ at.***
- 8 pregenerated Player Character cards and 14 Non-Player Character cards.
- 10 Core cards and 24 Quirk cards to add character to your... um... characters.
- 4 delightfully double-sided player handouts.
- A double-sided map displaying part of the city of Ankh-Morpork on one side, and the Sto Plains on the reverse.
- A set of seven polyhedral dice with which to make clicky-clacky noises and occasionally use to resolve events in conjunction with the aforementioned rules.
